Documentation - VAT reports

This page explains the purpose of the VAT Reports module, the file to import, and what you can do with it in SellerNumbers.

What is the VAT Reports module for?

The VAT Reports module lets you import the Amazon VAT report to analyze your sales flows, prepare VAT summary returns, and review operations in more detail by country, transaction type, and tax reporting scheme.

Good practice

Before importing, make sure the report covers the correct period and comes from the correct Amazon account. When in doubt, always compare SellerNumbers results with your official tax and accounting source documents.

Which file should be imported?

You should import the Amazon VAT report containing detailed lines for sales, returns, refunds, and logistics movements. SellerNumbers uses in particular the departure and arrival countries, the tax reporting scheme, the VAT rate, net amounts, VAT amounts, and currencies.

What you can do next

  • review detailed VAT report lines
  • link those lines to a VAT summary return
  • analyze intra-community flows, exports, and B2B sales
  • check country and OSS summaries
